Deaf Team Leaves for Lucknow

The national cricket team of deafs today left for Lucknow, India to participate in the Second Cricket World Cup for Deaf scheduled to begin on Nov 17.

The team: Ribesh Shrestha (captain), Uttam Maharjan (vice-captain), Mahendra Limbu (wicket-keeper), Yajur Bhattarai, Tendi Sherpa, Iswor Ghimire, Arya Kumar Singh, Kundan Poudyal, Vivek Rai, Sunil Ale Magar, Dhruba Neupane, Krishna Dhami, Sujendra Shrestha, Vijay Saud and Ramesh Shrestha.

Officials: Arun Aryal (coach), Dilip Kumar Yadav (scorer), Prakash Maharjan (interpreter), Prem Gurung (manager), Saryu Sherchan (Deaf Cricket International Federation Member), Surendra Bhandari (team director) and Krishna Prasad Gajurel (physio)

Nov 15: Practice match at Bareilly
Nov 16: Inauguration of the event
Nov 17: Nepal vs South Africa at LDA Stadium, Aliganj
Nov 18: Nepal vs Sri Lanka at Chowk Stadium
Nov 19: Nepal vs Australia at LDA Stadium, Aliganj
Nov 20: Rest Day
Nov 21: Nepal vs New Zealand at Gomti Nagar Stadium
Nov 22: Nepal vs England at Chowk Stadium
Nov 23: Nepal vs Pakistan at LDA Stadium, Aliganj
Nov 24: Nepal vs India at KD Singh Babu Stadium

The semifinals will be played between top four teams on Nov 25 and the final on Nov 27.
