Super Star Club became the winner of the Kalaiya League Cricket Tournament defeating Vinex Club in the final match by four wickets.
National player Binod Das opted for batting after winning toss for Vinex in the 40-over contest. But the Super Star bowlers bowled very well to bowl out the opponent in 72 runs eight overs earlier. Only Nitesh Tiwari (14) and Samir Thakur (10) could reach the double figure under some tight bowling and fielding performance by Super Star.
Former national captian Pawan Agrawal led the Super Star bowlers claiming four wickets for mere nine runs.
Super Star reached the target in 15.1 overs after displaying some aggressive batting but lost six wickets in course. Five of those wickets were claimed by Binod Das who was later adjudged best bowler for his 11 wickets in tournament. But Das, who gave away 34 runs, could not stop Super Star from the victory.
Jitendra Yadav of Super Star, who scored 176 runs and took 12 wickets, was declared best batsman and man of the series.
