Afghanistan outplayed Nepal in the ACC Trophy Elite 2010 final.

It was experience versus enthusiasm and Afghanistan used their experience at world level to recover twice during their innings to post 224 and used their bowling power to bowl out Nepal for merely 129 to win by huge margin of 95 runs.
Facing the pacers of Afghanistan proved impossible for Nepali batsmen as they lost wickets regularly. Only Sharad Vesawkar (35) and Gyanendra Malla (30) could make some runs.
Binod Das took three wickets while Paras Khadka and Rahul BK each took two wickets as Afghanistan´s formidable batting lineup struggled to make runs. Karim Sadiq topscored 58 while Raees Ahzamdi got 52. Mohd Nabi was out on 48.
After M Ashraf and Sadiq featured in 59-run partnership for fourth wicket while Nabi and Ahmadzi played well for 97-run partnership for seventh wicket. Nabi and Ahmadzi rescued the team from 114/6.
Mehboob Alam could not play due to injury on his foot and Binod replaced him, the only change in the team that played in the semifinal. Afghanistan played the same team from the semifinals against UAE.

Hey per cash.. Gyanendra malla might have capacity to be a captain and lead the team.. But i dnt think paras khadka is a failiure.. As far as i feel parash khadka is a good captain and he have given nepali cricket a beter standard.. He mght have taken s0me wr0ng decisi0ns lyk using m0re spiners or as he ch0osed to field first in final against afghanstan but i dnt thnk he should be replaced.. You’re right in some ways but let me tell you the correct WCL structure.
WCL div1 will be comprised of 12 teams; i.e 10 teams are already there (6 teams that hold ODI status and 4 HPP members or div2 teams), and 2 teams will qualify from 2011 WCL div3.
I want to make clear that div2 is not a qualifying tournament for WC QUALIFIERS, and 2 teams from div3 do not qualify to div2 but directly go to div1 or wc qualifiers.
For example if Nepal and USA qualify to div3 and then if they become finalists in div3, so they will not go to div2 but will go to div1 directly.
And according to your opinion if they go to div2 and they get 4th and 5th position, so they’ll be relegated back to div3, then who will qualify from div3 to wc qualifiers as it’s said that both finalists from div3 will go on to wc qualifiers. Now for nepal only 3 divs (div4, div3 and div1) are remaining to qualify for 2015 world cup.

it’s a little bit complicated but if you carefully pay attention then you can understand.
What Nawaraj says is right.Just look at the WCL Schedule.There will be two Div 3 Tournaments.The first one is in January 2011.Top 2 teams qualify to div 2 which will be held on June 2011 – top 4 teams (out of 6 teams) will qualify to world cup qualifier 2013(June) in Scotland. Bottom 2 teams relegated to div 3 . The second div 3 tournament will be on April 2013 and then top 2 teams will directly qualify to world cup qualifier 2013.
You are a bit confused cause Afghanistan directly qualified to 2009 world cup qualifier through a 2nd div 3 tournament.( In Argentina 2 months before world cup qualifier , remember).Basically the whole world cricket league structure gave the teams 2 chances to move up( or qualify) the levels.

DIV 4 – must come 1st or 2nd. teams are italy , tanzania, usa, cayaman island, argentina and nepal .
DIV 3- must come 1st or 2nd ..teams are oman, hong kong, Papua new Guinea and denmark…
DIV 2- have to come 1st to 4th place….UAE, Namibia, Uganda, bermuda plus two teams from DIV 3.
DIV 1- will be held in scotland in 2013 …teams will be ireland, afghanistan, kenya, netherlands, canada, scotland plus four team from DIV 2…..
hope this will clear any misunderstanding….

Ajit, ACC ranks non-test playing nations on the basis of their performance in Acc trophy elite. Baharain doesn’t appear there because they didn’t play acc trophy elite. Bhutan appeared in 8th place because it finished 4th in group B and lost to kuwait (team that finished 4th in group A) in the match played for the 7th place. Singapore finished 5th in Group A and automatically got 9th place as Group B in absense of Baharain had only 4 teams.

because of tight schedule among the test playing nations in ASIA we missed a chance to play with them in ASIA cup…before, ACC elite trophy finalist used to qualify for the asia cup but this time there will be no qualification. So, i do not see any chance of nepal playing with test playing in near future. I think we will also not get chance to play qualifying games for the world twenty20 too because we are not in good position in twenty20 game. I hope may be in near future we will get chance…
there is nothing about worry to play asia cup and with test nation countries out main aim to qualify in 2015 if we did it would be easy for icc schedule.

Whereas we hav lost every crucial matches in spite of peforming with blazing start. Wht do u think of it guys? Is it a bad luck of our team or what? I also don’t see any chance of nepal playing against test playing nations now. But, what can be done is that teams like Afg, Nep, Malaysia, UAE should arrange matches among themselves. Afganisthan tour of Nepal, Nepal tour of UAE,etc that consists of a number of ODIs, 4 day matches and T20s. How good that sounds. ACC must invest in such programmes if it really wants to develop cricket in Asia. 4 nations from Asia have already got test status. ACC should aim to develop cricket of others developing nations up to that standard.Nepal and other countries must convince ACC for this so that such tours get an important place in ACC’s calendar. What do you think guys?

if nepal finishes up to 6th position in wcq, then nepal will get odi satus. And the team will be playing odis, 4 day matches among the other associates frequently. And they also get chances to play odi series with test nations(but less matches, either 1 or 2 match series). U can see canada and ireland is currently in the tour of west-indies and they played one odi each with west indies and also some first-class 4 day matches with the unofficial teams of jamica.
