The Colombo District Women’s Cricket Association team cancled its tour to Nepal, according to Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN).
The visiting team was scheduled to play two matches on April 21 and one on April 24 at the TU Cricket Ground against Nepal’s women team.
Earlier, the Lankan team was said to led by Berney Fernando of Lanka Women’s Sports Club and her deputy be Janakanthi Mala, former Sri Lanka all-rounder.
CAN Region No 3 Kathmandu was to field the team with available international players. Neera Rajopadhyay was named captain of the team that was to include Sarita Magar, Binu Budamagar, Sita Ranamagar and Gita Chudal among others.
“The friendship series will encourage women’s cricket,” CAN president Binaya Raj Pandey had said.

Hey guys how is going our cricketers’ preperation? But Tanzania who is plyin div 4 and it already started its training. I just want to knw tht is NEPAL also preparing for that tournament now a days? If not then whn it’ll be started? Reply guys…
@ deepak. Dont wory bro.. Div 4 tournament suru hunu vanda 1 week agadi dekhi daroo practice gar6an Nepali team le. Aile dekhi practice garyo vaneta nepal le easily jitihal6ni.. To make the div 4 tournament interesting Nepal will statrt practicing late k. : p
i think we have no situation of practice any sports reason of political activities.
Ohw wht a fool… Its really foolish to expect goodness or any kind of success without good preperation. But our Nepalese players peforming really well in spite of poor management and zero preparetion. Nepal gov. and CAN must pay attention to the nepalese cricketers. If our players realy got the opportunity to be prepared well then there is no doubt to enhance their skills and win the trophy. But its our cricketers’ plight that they havn’t got such opportunities.

more than 3 weeks have been passed since ACC Elite 2010 tournament.. where are nepalese player what are they doing now??? most important what is the plan for upcoming WCL division 4..i think CAN is sleeping deeply..its really embarrassing…

Everybody knows that Can always start practice for 1 month before tournament & play 3 match on srilanka or india. we wish Nepal cross div-4. CAn always talk too much but they donot have really plan about world cup. I thinks first of all, Can should make plan about Election. In CAN history they never doing election. If they elected, then private sector also believe them & govt also couldnot make trouble for them. Now Can members do as they like & just take bhatta. Can president pandey he say before minimum 3 countries club will come in nepal to play with our team. but he also add their this is not fix still. Can never serious about Cricket & future of player. if Can make plan to prepare the players performance then they should talk asian test countries board member. if our player will play in those countries club that will be great. but still Can donot have any good plan.
