binay raj pandey ek numberko corrupted man ho….baru jay kumar nath shah ko palama dherai ramro kaam bhathyo…throw him away from the post of president…what nepali players decided is very strong slap on the face of binay…..

We see CAN did nothing for the development of Nepali Cricket as its president Binay Raj Pandey vowed to do something for nepali cricket when he got selected. But during this long period he showed his true intention by his all activities. Pandey has not proper plan for national league matches. He is totally useless. Why he didn’t manage the tournament sedule like he seduled back to back league games in very short time without giving the players rest for the next tournament? By its activities we all of us can guess about the vision of CAN. As we all know that before the monsoon all players were free, why didn’t it organized the league at that time?

Now all the players are protesting against the CAN’s decision, its absolutely good to see that all the players are in unity and it is the first and good stpe to wake up the deep slumber CAN. CAN president is sucking without peforming his true duty in CAN.

  3. Binod Simkhada says:

There was a drastic action required to awake CAN. How drastic and loud would it be, only time will show that? The players CAN for not providing them what they require to compete at highest level. These players are playing for peanuts and for their passion of cricket.

However, this could well impact in the preparation to WCL IV. As a ever loving fan of Nepalese cricket, I would not like anything to hamper the preparation to WCL. We deserve much higher than where we are. But at the same time, I want those players to be cared after. After all cricket is only sport that has surfaced at world level for us.

  6. Rakesh Karn says:

What a day for Nepali Cricket!!! As a former player who played in the same league…i couldn’t be happy enough to have seen this day….The players have united and here comes the power shift. I was waiting for this day for a long time. Now that the players are together on the issue of Corruption within CAN, i see some major changes coming. The players waited for too long and now its time. In order to Develop Cricket in Nepal, the players have to be taken care of. The players are absolutely right in demanding for CAN members who can work full time. For many who work at CAN, it’s a perfect platform for them to eat up the money that they get from sponsor, ACC and ICC. Why do you think it’s a hot spot for many politicians these days to work as a CAN member??? Money!!! If the players are responsible for the success of Cricket in Nepal. They are the ones who should be getting paid the most, not the CAN members. CAN treats the players as slaves, and they feel that they are doing favor to all the players by letting them play for the country. Many years ago, a reporter asked Binay Raj Pandey, what kind of compensation are you offering to the players and he answered, they are getting the opportunity to go visit many countries!!! That’s the mentality of most of the CAN members, they feel that the players are just happy traveling to many countries. So no need to pay them what they deserve…!!!

    • Rakesh Karn says:

I am very glad to see the unity amongst the players. My advice to all the players is that keep fighting till you win this war. Keep fighting till the corruption is over. Remember you are the ones who make us proud, and the whole country loves you not the corrupted CAN members. They are not doing a favor to you, you are doing a favor to them. They have a job because you guys bring in money to the country. All the best to you guys…!!!
The whole country is behind you.!!! God Bless

  7. Bardan Chalise says:

    Rakesh,
You are absolutely correct. I remember the day you are referring to when Mr. Pandey said that. At that time i was in the Nepal team and Nepal got sponsored from Carlsberg and there was a press conference. I was there in the conference with bunch of reporters. Mr. Pandey stated that we are getting sponsored, and i made Hemanth dai (a reporter) to ask Mr. Pandey what is there for the players. He did asked that question to him and his response was they will get the sponsored clothes and will get the opportunity to travel around different countries. What a shocking statement was that. I was always against what CAN was doing at that time till now. I was definitely waiting for this time when all of them will realized what is going around and they finally revolt. Guys, you have to keep this up until you get what you want. Good luck.

  8. Uzwal says:

Rakesh karn and Bardan you guys definitely know more about inside than us.It is really appreciated that you guys are sharing your experiences with us .Thank you for that.

The problem I see is our cricket has grown to its limit without having proper infrastructure and benifits to the players. Now we cant go any further like this.To go beyond than this we need good management, investment in infrastructures and plenty more. I am happy that at last all players come together to speak against CAN but i wonder now how CAN would react. We know how CAN get biased with players when they go against them.Any way something new happening in Nepalese cricket. We all are behind you .And more power to u.

    JAY NAYA NEPAL

  9. bikash pun says:

I am very happy to read this news….I support rakesh and bardan. They know better then us. Now, those corrupted people will definitely come forward. i think those people will drop most of the players from the nepali team for the WCL 4 to get revenge. They do not care about country and players. they only see their benefits. We know they are doing these sh*t thing but we cannot do anything…Our players are doing everything possible to make us proud but these people are playing with the players. We get all money by ICC or ACC because of our players performance not because of those CAN staffs. They don’t know anything about cricket..Its shame to know that they informed players only 1 day before practice game.Is this a good way of management?? And don’t they know in rain we cannot play cricket?what the hell is this to organize cricket in monsoon???this shows that they do not have brain in their head but have lots of SH*t……..

    I salute our beloved players.
we all fans are behind you.

  10. govinda adhikari says:

I am glad with all player that they are unity against CAN. we guys know that Can members are selections from gov. In Can history , they never do election. just selection by poltician. these Can members just stay there to keep money on their pocket. Many members they dono’t know about cricket, players because they are doing part time job in Can.
In my view, first of all rakhepa give order to do election soon. More Can members are bhrastachari . Can never make any vision about cricket future & players. Can got money from sponsored then they think that players wear new clothes, stay hotel, eat different menu & visit more countries. This kind of mentality never develop cricket. They organized tournament in monsoon time. what a nonsense decision is this. Can prove that they just save money on their pocket but not think about good plan about cricket. u all players should be unity until get win. keep it up & go ahead

  11. Ramesh Bhattarai says:

Why Binod and Sharad are not presented at the press conference? What Paras and other company did was necessity of time before some years but it is not too late too. We fans want all players united and go against corruption and irresponsibilty of CAN and Pandey. We are with you so go ahead, We all fans are more than happy to strike against CAN and throw them from road if they take you lightly and keep continuing black and worst activities.
Go a head boys. You deserve this and you are ones who make us proud.

  12. Arun says:

Good to see this unity among players for the betterment of nepali cricket and the players themselves. Well..whatever Nepal have achieved in int’l cricket is solely from the individual brilliency of some players like paras, sharad, gynendra, alam, binod, shakti, etc. We don’t have any infrastructure, no facilities, no cricket development programmes and nothing for the players. Once these players retire, our cricket will almost get a good- bye from int’l arena. This situation is sure to come and it’s all because of CAN. New players with serious talents aren’t coming and won’t come. Our failure in recent age group tournaments have clearly justified it. We used to be the power house in age groups but not because of youth development programmes. Once the players like paras crossed the age limit, we the giant killers couldn’t even qualify for U19 world cup. It is worth mentioning that we had beaten the teams like Pakistan, South Africa, New Zealand and Bangladesh when we had above mentioned players in our U19 squad. Now, forget about producing good cricketers and developing cricket, CAN can’t even retain the self-developed players and their talents. There must be a revolutionary change in the way CAN is functioning. Ex- players who have the commitment and determination to do sth should be taken to CAN, not the karyakartas of political parties like Tanka Paneru and Binay Raj Pandey. Every transaction of CAN must be transperant. The tradition of CAN officials adding cars in their garage out the funds generated because of hard work of these players must come to an end. For this unity among players is a must. Be careful guys, CAN may enter as a ‘vijilante’ and try to disrupt your unity by luring you with some lollypops!

  13. cricketer says:

well, sharad is in a trip to india with his mom as his mother is in suffering from serious health problems and binod is busy with important household works..its not tht the cricketers were not united but the guys were waiting for a right time…cheers

  14. Arun says:

I read in a newspaper that CAN is about to kick out Basanta Regmi from the closed camp of div 4 because of indiscipline. But, if what Basanta says is true it was just a small mistake done in the situation when he was depressed because of a close relative’s death. Basanta has already admitted his mistake. So, it will be too harsh to send him back home. If what he said is true, issuing a warning is enough. other players involved- rahul and mahesh must clarify the details. And, all the players(including rahul and mahesh) should ask CAN not to take such a harsh action. Basanta is a key all-rounder in our team and has spent several years of his life in cricket. His hard work and career mustn’t be ruined because of this small incident. In my view, this case must be settled among the players and they must ask CAN to step back from it’s possible harsh action.

  15. Anil says:

This is a brave attempt from the players . I wish all the players should unite against can leaders .

  16. resham bhattachan says:

We appreciate and fully support this move by our national cricket team.Lets hope CAN fulfills their demand very soon.

  17. Dear all,
Being as a Journalist, we are here to make a good and developed Nepal, but do you think the development of country is possible like this? Think a lot. Let’s boycott all the corrupted people from our country to make new Nepal.
    Cheers
