The International Cricket Council (ICC) decision to conduct the Pepsi World Cricket League Division IV on the artificial turf in Italy is likely to hit Nepal hard.
Although, major events are held on natural turf, the event from August 14 to 21 will be held on the astro-turf as the hosts do not have the natural turfs. “This is shocking,” Binaya Raj Pandey, the president of Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN), said.
International Cricket Council (ICC) investigation committee has recommended continuing with the results of the Pepsi ICC World Cricket League Division 5.
The committee, formed to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crowd trouble during February 26 Nepal-USA match in Kathmandu, rejected the Singapore Cricket Association (SCA) demands of their promotion to Division 4 in the ground of fairness.

Nepal’s Gyanendra Malla and Afghanistan’s Hasti Gul have achieved much for their countries on the playing field, now they’re trying to do more off the field. Both have started academies in their home towns, with an eye to creating their successors in the national teams of the future.
The Colombo District Women’s Cricket Association team cancled its tour to Nepal, according to Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN).
