ACC U-15 to play two-day, four one-day matches in Sri Lanka

The ACC U-15 ‘dream team’ is scheduled to play one two-day match and four one-day matches against the local teams of Sri Lanka in Colombo and Galle.

The team selected from the best performing players of U-15 Asia Cup held in UAE will be led by Nepali captain Raj Shrestha and will feature five more Nepali players.

Honorary Secretary of Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) Binaya Raj Pandey will be the manager of the team while ACC Development Officer from Sri Lanka Rumesh Ratnayake will be the coach. Nepali coach Arun Aryal has been nominated as the assistant coach of the dream team.

According to the schedule, the team will arrive at Colombo on 31st of January and will train there for two more days before playing a two-day match. A pre-tour press conference is also scheduled on 1st of February.

On 6th and 7th of February, the team will play two one-day matches and will head for Galle on the 8th. In Galle, the team will play two more one-day matches on 9th and 11th. The team will then return to Colombo and then to their own countries.

The team – Raj Shrestha (Captain), Sarad Veshwakar, Pawan Das, Paras Khadka, Irfan Siddique and Deepak Shrestha (Nepal), Prateesh Rajpal (captian of Kuwait who scored sensational 196 from 86 balls), James Atkinson (Hong Kong), Ramveer Rai, Oasim Zubair and Rameez Shahzad (all from UAE), Rizwan Nasir and Jackie Kumar (both from Singapore) and Pranav Mehta (Oman), Rumesh Ratnayake (Coach – Sri Lanka), Binaya Raj Pandey (Manager – Nepal), Arun Aryal (Assistant Coach – Nepal) and Dr. Vece Paes (Sports Medicine).
