K Karki receives reprimands for breaching conduct

Krishna Karki, along with three other players, has been reprimanded and warned after breaching the ICC Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Personnel at the ICC U19 Cricket World Cup Qualifier in Ireland.

Krishna has been found guilty of breaching Article 2.1.1, which relates to the ICC’s clothing and equipment regulations.Canada’s captain Kevasan Juvarajan was also found guilty for same reason.

Norman Vanua of Papua New Guinea breached Article 2.1.3 of the code, which relates to “showing dissent at an umpire’s decision” while USA captain Gregory Sewdial also received a reprimand from the referee for breaching Article 2.1.2 of the code, which deals with the “abuse of cricket equipment”.

The four players admitted to the Level 1 breaches and accepted the proposed sanctions so no hearings were required. All were reprimanded and warned by tournament referee David Jukes.
