Nepal hopes to claim U19 World Cup Spot

Following Nigeria’s success in claiming an ICC U19 Cricket World Cup 2020 spot, the battle for the four remaining places heads to the Asia Qualifier in Malaysia, with six teams vying for the top spot.  Kuwait, Malaysia, Nepal, Oman, Singapore and the UAE will compete in the tournament taking place between 12 and 18 April, where the winners will become the 13th team to confirm their place in the ICC U19 Cricket World Cup in South Africa in 2020. Nepal announces team for U19 World Cup Qualifiers

Nepal has announced the 14-member squad for the ICC U19 Cricket World Cup Qualifier Asia 2019, to be held in Malaysia from April 10 to 18. Rohit Kumar Paudel is named the captain. Sundeep Jora, Bhim Sarki and Pawan Sarraf, who were part of the senior team that beat UAE 2-1 in both ODIs and T20Is, are also named in the team. Other members of the team are: Avishek Basnet, Hari Bahadur Chauhan, Kamal Singh Airee, Kushal Malla, Asif Sheikh, Pratis GC, Rashid Khan, Rit Gautam, Sagar Dhakal and Surya Tamang.
