ICC welcomes Nepal Special General Meeting to adopt revised constitution

The ICC has welcomed confirmation from the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) of a Special General Meeting (SGM) to be held on 19-20 April to consider constitutional change that will reform governance of the sport and pave the way towards reinstatement of ICC membership. The SGM will consider proposed changes to the constitution that have been recommended by the Nepal Advisory Group (NAG), comprising stakeholders from across the game in Nepal and set up by the ICC. Progress made towards Nepal’s readmission: ICC

A delegation from the International Cricket Council (ICC) has returned from Nepal following a series of meetings to progress discussions aimed at enabling the reinstatement of Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) to ICC membership. The visit, led by ICC Deputy Chairman Imran Khwaja, was focused on the adoption of a revised constitution and subsequent elections with clear timelines in place to lay a solid foundation for the good governance of the sport in Nepal. ICC delegation to visit Nepal for progress discussions

A delegation from the International Cricket Council (ICC) will arrive in Nepal this weekend to progress discussions aimed at enabling the reinstatement of Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) to ICC membership. The objective of the visit, led by ICC Deputy Chairman Imran Khwaja, is to agree on the final steps to getting Nepal’s suspension lifted and reinstated into membership of the ICC.
